Professor Fulvio D’Acquisto an immunologist from the University of Roehampton found that massage boosted the number of white cells in patients suffering from HIV. Also, they with volunteers who received massage therapy compared to volunteers who just relaxed. The group that received massage therapy had 70% higher white blood cells then the group who just relaxed.
